The roof gives space
A lazy chair with a book and a glass of wine or a sparkling conversation with welcome guests. A log cabin with a canopy and a balustrade gives you space to relax in style. Define the right place in your garden
You can hide your garden building behind your garden plants, so you always keep your privacy. But is it stilleasily accessible? Also imagine what you see when you are looking out of the window of your cabin into yourgarden. What do you see? Do you have enough light? You must also take care that the ground level is flat and suitable for the right foundation and any cables and pipes. Your point of retreat from a busy life deserves all the attention.
Something for everyone
Passionate gardeners, cyclists on the tour, fans of al-fresco dining, peace-seeking readers and barbecue specialists ... the cabin makes everyone happy! So many applications and opportunities, you can come up with. In the winter time no more mountain bikes and garden furniture in the attic.
Thought of everything
Build your cabin as you want it. Summer colours, a special curtain, a corner for the children and an armchair for grandfather. You can also add a wooden terrace or fix charming wooden planters on your cabin. As a gardenlover you can construct an annex for your garden tools. Or let your children choose their favourite playhouse.
Colour that suits you
Sky-blue, Swedish red or honey yellow, you can give each cabin a personal touch when you choose the colours you like. The right paint penetrates deep into the timber providing a good wood protection and maintains good looks even longer. Of course, you use a paint that is water-repellent, UV-resistant and moisture-regulating. Paint the inside as well to get a better result. This also prevents the timber from warping.
Ask for your building permission in time!
Whether you need a (lightweight) construction permit, depends on the size of your log cabin or garden building. In many cases, planning permission is not required, however we suggest you ask your local authority to check whether you need building permission. Always check in good time!
I do it myself
Obviously you have made a foundation which is perfectly flat. You can construct the cabin carefree from thisbasis. The tongue-and-groove connection of the wall beams can be easily constructed. This applies equally to the very stable 4 Plus Profil corner connections. Did you also think of a guttering set for the drainage of rainwater?
Each cabin is a complete Construction kit, in which no screw or nail is missing. The building instruction is clear, efficient and transparent and leaves nothing to chance. You can check the parts list before starting assembly.
Safety above all
Do you always pay attention to the safety of yourself and others? Naturally you handle tools safely and store all materials well because the kids are curious! When the fire-blanket and a fire-extinguisher are easily accessible on a hook in the log cabin, this will give you a safe feeling. With safety and security in mind, your cabin will be supplied with a sturdy lock on the door.
The foundation
Every garden building is a strong as its base. The first requirement is that the foundation is 100% flat and paved or concrete to prevent the foundation from subsiding. The substrate may be for example (this depends on the size of your cabin) made of concrete or tightly engineered concrete garden pavers. Of course you should first installany cables and pipes. A good foundation keeps doors and walls in place and extends the life of your garden building significantly.
